Whale and Christine of |Namu| are a duo whose pieces are 100% handmade in Perth. |Namu| means tree in Korean, reflecting their business goals (growth!) and a philosophy for their leather items to resemble the nature of trees, by lasting for a long time and revealing charm, character and value as the piece ages. Their Zipper 001 and 002 make the ideal carrier for cards and a small amount of cash. They are functional in size, with thoughtful lines and stitches turning their workmanship into attractive design of its own right.
The Everyday Essential: Bahru ‘Paris’
Bahru is designed by Fliss Brophy who lives on a farm in Western Australia’s south west with her family. The Bahru style emphasises practical pockets, zips and straps, as well as chambray lining so you can see what’s in your bag. Paris (pictured in Blush) is their signature shape. Also available in Black, Caramel, Silver, Gold, French Navy and Grey.
